John Robbins, first wife unknown, m. (2) 26 Feb 1801 Catherine, wid of John tiffany, dau. Rufus Field.

  3. The History of Northfield presents no birth date, no death date, nor identifies any parents. The first child born in 1791 suggests a birth by 1770. It is tempting to suspect he is the son of Ephraim Robbins of Warwick. But no evidence can be found to support or refute this, or provide an alternative. If true, this would imply three wives. The 3 children born by 1796 would belong to the first unknown wife, a second wife Sarah Pearce having no children, and then the third wife Katherine.
