1772 - Baptism: John, son of James REEVE and Elizabeth.

1828 - Signed as witness to marriage of his daughter, Ann.

1840 - Died, aged 68. Married man, farmer. Burial register gives no clarification as to whether he was buried in the churchyard or within the church. His daughter's contemporary note (see below) is ambiguous.

1845 - Farmer. (Hannah's marriage).

Newspaper cutting dated April 16 1840 - "On Thursday evening last in his 69th year, Mr John Reeve, a respectable farmer died in Snetterton. Never did any circumstance occur which cast a greater gloom over the neighbourhood in which he was known than the death of this excellent man. He was liberal kind and extensively charitable to the poor, & sincere & hospitable to his friends, & a most loving & indulgent parent & husband. He died lamented by all grades of society for "take him for all in all, we shall not look upon his like again.""

Written by Hannah Maria, his daughter (later Mrs Thomas Womack) - "My dear & beloved father, Mr John Reeve of Snetterton Hall, in the County of Norfolk, died very suddenly on Thursday evening April 15 1840 at quarter past 9 at night. He was buried in Kenninghall Church April 23rd."

Additional newspaper cutting, undated - "On the above day the widow of the much lamented Mr John Reeve of Snetterton Hall districuted a very liberal supply of good bread to all the numerous poor of the Parish of Kenninghall, which proved very acceptable to them & was gratefully and thankfully received."
