Facts and Events
Bea Romine and Connie McGruder mentioned that John Ray was a very stern, even mean man at times. He had lived in West Kansas (Bea thought Lamar, KS). and she thought they had no other marriages. A bit vague, but Bea thought they had two daughters; Nora, who married a Mr. Frye, and Grace (she was a bit confused on the data of each, but knew that one was extremely close to her mother, Ester Lucretia. See fragile family photo with Lorenzo N. Braught family, including John Ray's daughter Nora. Due to other death dates, that photo had to be taken between 1905 and 1908. See photocopy of photo of John Ray, his wife Avie Braught, and three children (Nora, a boy older than Nora , and a boy younger than Nora. A separate photo of a very long-haired girl was inscribed Grace E. Ray, 9 yrs. old. Several photos inscribed Albert Ray; one with Frank Braught when both in teens. Could Grace of photos be the same as Nora? |
