Appointed Rector of Weston-upon-Trent in 1626, and bought estate in Thurvaston, Derbyshire in 1639. Attended Cambridge University in 1601, or Oxford in 1610 according to alumini. Born in Coventry area, Warwickskshire. His three eldest children baptised at Holy Trinity, Coventry, and younger children baptised at Weston on Trent after his appointment. His name is spelt "Powle" in IGI, but father's name Baldwyn. Baldwyn Pole/Poull/Powle named as father of several children baptised at Holy Trinity in Coventry, making it highly likely he was also the father to John "Powle".
