KERRVILLE, TEXAS Mr. John Plank was born November 28, 1911, in Ashland, Ohio. He died on Saturday, September 2, 2006, in Kerrville, Texas. He was a resident of Kerrville since 1976.
He worked as vice president for one of the largest lithographers companies of this country. He held a Masters Degree. John was an avid writer and wrote numerous articles for newspapers and magazines. He was an author of a book ?Oh, the Anguish of English.? He had a passion for travel, reading and playing golf.
John served his country in World War II in the War Shipping Department, which stationed him in South Africa and India.
He married Dorothea Pospiech in Hannover, Germany, in 1963.
His daughter, Deborah Jorgensen preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea Plank of Kerrville; his daughter, Melinda Cordell of Fresno, California; one grandson, Lars Jorgensen of Walnut Creek, California; and brother-in-law, Josef Pospiech of Hannover, Germany.
