John3 Phillips (Theophilius2, George1) came from the Watertown family. He was a member of the Shaker community of Shirly and Lancaster where he owned 300 acres of farmland called Phillips Farm. He removed from Watertown in 1627 and was of Lancaster 1631. The will of his mother, Mary Bennett, dated 23 Dec 1730 proved 10 Sep 1733 includes a deed of partition dated 20 Feb 1731-3 [NEHGR 58:199]. He baptized two children Abigail and Abijah 28 Oct 1750 in Lancaster. His other children are all given in his probate files which includes the will of his daughter Anna which gives information on them in great detail. Bond's Watertown is incorrect about his death date - see photo of burial monument on Find A Grave.
