    TOP, July 21, 1921- JOHN OVEREND- On Sunday John Overend, son of the late William Overend, of Price’s Corner, passed away at Peterborough, in his 66th year. He was a native of Medonte, and lived at Lindsay for a number of years. Recently he has been at Peterborough. He suffered from rheumatism for a considerable time but it was cancer of the stomach which caused his death, and he suffered a great deal. He leaves two daughters, Miss Marie, who has resided at Orillia, and Miss Columba, teacher at Port McNicoll, and one brother(sic), Gilmour an engineer on the C.P.R. Havelock to Port McNicoll division. Besides he leaves two sisters, Miss Overend, of Orillia, and Sister Columba, of St. Joseph’s convent, London, and four brothers, Thomas, of Toronto; Charles of Buffalo; Joseph of Chicago, and George of Orillia. Three brothers predeceased him. The funeral was at Peterborough on Tuesday.
