Married Judith Budd, dau. of Lt. John. On 19 July 1683, John Budd of Rye conveyed to 'Judete Browne', dau. of his dec'd father, and to the heirs of her son Joseph Ogden, a lot in accordance with his father's will.
In May 1682, called John of Rye, he was granted 20 acres by the Conn. General Court.
Inv. of John of Stamford, 7 Aug. 1682, sworn to by 'Jude' Ogden. Adm'n granted to Judith.
She m. (2) by 1683, Francis Brown of Rye, who in 1687 through the medium of Joseph Horton, Sr., of Rye, conveyed to his wife Jude all his estate in Rye; she to provide for her husband a comfortable maintenance for life, and to pay the legacies of the children of John Ogden, dec'd, as they come of age.
Francis and Jude Brown, adm'rs of Est. of John Ogden, gave lands 12 Dec. 1690 to Joseph Ogden son of John for his legacy.
Francis Brown of Rye conveyed, 5 June 1700, to son-in-law David Ogden; to son-in-law Richard Ogden, 11 June 1700; and with wife Judith to son Richard Ogden, 19 Feb. 1706/7, land 'which was our son Richard Ogden's own father's, John Ogdens.'"
