FORT WORTH - John W. "Bill" Nolley, 72, owner of Nolley Signs Inc. for 20 years, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001 at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeland Baptist Church, 3551 Cindy St., Fort Worth. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Memorials: May be made to Vitas Hospice, 2501 Parkview Dr., Suite 600, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
Bill was born on Aug. 16, 1929 in Dallas. He went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ after a courageous nine month battle with cancer. He was a long time member of Lakeland Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was an employee of Texas Signs for 20 years. He later built his own business, on hard work, honesty, consistently doing the right thing by his employees and customers. His high levelof regard and reputation was recently demonstrated at his 72nd birthday. He loved his family and was "PePaw" to his grandchildren. Even with the incurable disease he always had a smile on his face and said everything was going to be all right. Our lives will be so empty without him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Mary Evelyn Nolley; brother, Bob Nolley; his sister, Lois Goggins; and father-in-law, Hansel Mason.
Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Jackie Sue Nolley; sons, Terry Nolley, Tommy Nolley; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Keith Overstreet; six grandchildren, Ashley, Tatum and Hayley Nolley, Rachel and Mason Overstreet and Nicholas M. Nolley; two great-granddaughters, Skylar Walker, Trinity Nolley; sister-in-law, Barbara Nolley; mother-in-law, Katherine Mason; sister, Mary Beth and husband, Ernest McRay; brother, L.E. Nolley and wife, Geneva Nolley.
