CANEYVILLE, Ky. -- John W. Mong, 84, of Caneyville, Ky., died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999, at his residence.
Services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 11 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield, Ky. Burial was at Beechgrove Cemetery in Caneyville, Ky.
He was born Oct. 31, 1915, in Wayne County to Earl Christopher Mong and Naomi Sarah Weimer-Mong.
Surviving are children, John Larry Mong, Paul Charles Mong, Donna K. Manson and Linda Creegor, all of Ohio; stepchildren, Walter Douglas, John Douglas, Rebecca Newson and Debbie Spelmaszack; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna May Daugherty of Ohio.
