Per Mary Jane Whiton Hubbard family lineage information given to her son, Hermon Milton Hubbard, on March 1, 1897, John Miller was born in England and came over with his father. In 1676 John Miller was one of the Council of War. Her notes indicate that she obtained this information from Freeman's History of Barnstable County, vol. 1, pages 210 and 250.
