  5. Will of John Mello, late Banker of George Street Portman Square, Middlesex.

written 13 January 1844, proved at London 5 April 1851
« ... of me John Mello late of Finch Lane London Banker now residing in George Street Portman Square in the County of Middlesex ... and I give to my dear Wife Elizabeth Mello .... »
NOTE: His will only mentions three of his children: William (born 14 Jan 1799), John Arnold (born 19 April 1801), and Isabella (born 3 Jan 1800). We know his third son, Lewis Charles (born 19 May 1802) died less than a year old in March of 1803 – so he wouldn’t have been mentioned. However his 4th and youngest son Magens (born 17 Dec 1804) did not die until 20 March 1854 And this was nine years after John Mello wrote his will.
