There is an Archibald J and Marguerite E. (Fletcher) McVicar in London, ON, Mt. Pleasant cemetery at location MX-LC-144-CS. 2009 August 28 email from living Ferguson: The patriarch of our McVicars was Peter, who came from Argyleshire to Poplar Hill in Lobo Twp, Middlesex County (west of London on Hwy #22) about 1830. He had twin nephews, James and Peter, who came to settle nearby a few years later. James married Christena Graham (likely pioneers, and still farmers in the area. I knew a nurse names Margaret Anne Graham from Coldstream, next to Poplar Hill). One of their sons was John Wesley who married Marguerita Fletcher. Their children were Donald Gordon, Marion Marguerite, Mildred Berle and Keith Duncan. Perhaps this is the same person you found. This information is from a little booklet published by a clan group of the Lobo twp family, possibly in the late 1930's. Its hard to verify the information, but it may be that this John Wesley could have been Archibald John - goodness knows there were many Archibald McVicars! I have the obituary of Duncan's Uncle Archie who died Sept 10, 1972 at home in Toronto, was waked from Jerrett Chapel in Willowdale, 4661 Yonge St, Toronto, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London. Does that add to the mystery? His wife is just listed as E. Marguerite and his daughter is Susan, whose name I gave you before.
