- Vol. 1 - 1749; Examination of Joseph McFarland, late of Lunenburg County, taken before me, Richard Barton, one of the justices for said county, 27th February, 1747-8. Says that he borrowed a saddle from James Litell, of Lunenburg County, and brought it into this County. Same examination of John McNeese. Endorsed, February 21, 1748-9. Friend, William Woods. I desire you to deliver the writing to the Clerk's Office, and you will oblige our friend. Richard Boston.

James Robinson, Jr., of Roane County, North Carolina, to David Robinson; James Robinson, Sr., in his lifetime was seized of 400 acres, part of Hite and Co.'s patent of 7,900 dated 26th March, 1739. on North River and Linville's Creek. Devised same to David, Isaac and Jonathan, his sons, now James Robinson, Jr., son and heir of James, Sr. Teste: John Fulton, Jr., John McNees. Samuel Johnston, John Thomas, John Gratton, Sr., John Gratton, Jr.

- Lunenburg County Virginia Deeds 1746 - 1752, page 306 April 2, 1751 - from Wm Caldwell of L. to John Caldwell, william Caldwell, Israel Pirkins, Richard Dudgeon, James Wackup, David Logan, William Rogers, John McNeese, Thomas Dougherty, John Midleton, Alexander McConnel, James Rutherford, James Caldwell, George Moore, George Harwood, David Caldwell, William Dudgeon, Francis Grymes, Isaac Jones, George McDavid, William Weakly, Thomas Rogers, James Logan, Richard Adams, James Barton, William Nichols, Isaac Vernon, Henry Parrillo, Henry Caldwell, John McDavid, John Caldwell, Thomas Caldwell, of the other part, for 1 shilling, grants 1 acre of land, including the graveyard that now stands on the land of said Caldwell for a possession of a burying place, the aforesaid parties and their heirs forever together with timber for paling in the said burying ground.
