Facts and Events
Father of John1 Macomber of Taunton {1638}, William1 Macomber of Dorchester and Marshfield, cooper {1639} and Thomas 1 Macomber of Plymouth {1643}. He married Edith Lock on 16 Jan 1634 in Bridport, Dorset, England and was buried there 6 Jul 1650. A total of 12 children were baptized in Bridport. Also recorded in this town was an Alice Macomber who married William Howley 14 Jul 1617. She is thought to be sister to John. Howleys were also found in Plymouth. A Thomas Macomber was also in local records and may have been their father but this is not proven.
