Note:Brigade of Guards' barracks near each of known residences.Subsequent enquiry along these lines revealed a musician N.C.O.of the name John Campbell at about this time. No confirmedconnection. !Rank: Gentleman (supports above), but could have beenindication of holding property, or his own aspirations. !Note: The incidence of the combination of the name of Campbellwith that of MacKinnon is rare and very few were found inScottish researches.
