Facts and Events
John McLean was the youngest of five sons born to Archibald McLean and Margaret Nairn. In 1887, the family emigrated from Scotland to Ontario, Canada. In 1911, John McLean has become a doctor, living with his brother Donald and their mother in Fort William, Ontario. Later, he moved to Saskatchewan, and was established there in Swift Current at the time of his brother Lachlan's death in 1913. On Sept 4, 1913, the Alymer Express announced the engagement of "Erie Rose ALDRICH, dau. of Harry O'BRIEN, Biggar, Sask., to Dr. John MACLEAN, Swift Current, Sask." Eventually he established practice as a surgeon in Regina, before moving to Los Angeles, California sometime before 1941. Image Gallery
