"MICHAEL" was born in Lancaster County, but later the area became BERKS COUNTY (see map below) Michael moved his family to Orange County, Virginia in circa 1790. In circa 1802 most of the family moved on to Montgomery County, Virginia, about 130 miles to the southwest, and in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Some of his family, and perhaps including himself; moved on to Ohio. At least some settled in Clermont County, which is east of Cincinnati. "Michael" may have died there?

Next, some of "Michael's" adult children moved north of Cincinnati to Preble County, Ohio. His son "Joseph" may have been in the War of 1812, when he was a resident of Preble County.

"Michael's" widow, and some of the adult children next moved to adjacent Wayne County, Indiana, where the widow died in 1836.
