Facts and Events
There is a problem with the marriages and children assigned to the spouses of John Longstroth. The children of Catherine Taylor and John Longstroth (married in 1709 in Giggleswick, England) are reported as born 1707-1726. This means the first child would have been born two years before the marriage, and the second child the same year as the marriage. The second marriage of John Longstreth to Isabel Brownsfield is reported as occurring in 1709 also, but in New Jersey. Thus, John Longstreth is reported as being married simultaneously to two different women, on opposite sides of the Atlantic ocean. This problem is resolved if the John Longstreth that Isabel Brown is married to is someone else, for instance, the other John Longstroth that was born between 1662 and 1670 and was the son of Christopher Longstreth and his first wife, Margaret Johnson, rather then the son of Christopher Longstreth and his second wife, Elizabeth Greenfield.
