John Lantz is possibly related to a George Lantz of Frederick County, Virginia who received a land grant of 157 acres on the North River of Shannandoah in Frederick County, surveyed by Robert Rutherford. This lot was adjoining the land of Joseph Pugh, Jacob Cohener and George Mowry, dated 19 August 1768. [Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants, 1742-1775, Vol. 2, Gertrude E. Gray, pg. 198].
