    John Lane1, was a citizen of Milford, Ct, in 1642, with wife and good estate. He m. second, in Milford, 4 April, 1662, by Robert Treat, magistrate, Mary, "the widow CAMP, that lived at Chestnut Hill in New Haven, Ct." At a General Assembly held at Hartford, Ct., May 11, 1665, John Lane was admitted freeman and sworn.— Ct, Col. Rec. He d. 1669; will same year. She d. his widow, 1680.

She was admitted to the church (church record, First Congregational Society, Milford) 27 June 1641. He married/2 (Milford Vital Records) says John Lane widower of Milford married widow (_____) Camp of Chestnut Hill, New Haven 4 April 1662. She died February 1680/1 called Mary (church record, First Congregational Society, Milford) and prior to 22 February 1680/1 inventory of her estate. His will names sons-in-law Jobamah Gunn, Samuel and Edward Camp, dau-in-law Mary Camp, wife Mary, son Isaac, dau-in-law Mercy Baldwin, brother William East. He had lot #18, 2 acres 2 rods and 20 poles, freeplanter in 1639.
