Brief abstract of life based on Lane Genealogies[1]: Lived at York, Biddeford, Broad Bay, St. George, etc. House burned 1744 by Indians, spent whole of the next winter pursuing the Indians. Captain in expedition against Louisburg. After an extended period of re-occuring sickness, was a captain in the expedition against Crown Point, from which he did not return [Crown Point, NY, was the location of French Fort Saint Frederic, though it was never actually attacked because the expedition was ambushed on the way.]
