John Landaker born 1793-Penn. married to Mary They were my Great,Great Grandparent,their son Nathan sired Daniel D who sired my father Francis Nathan-1917 and who is L/ W. I am wanting to know what area on Pennsylvania they were from and could it be now in West Virginia. Was John and Joseph b-1760-Penn. brothers. I have my grandfather's bible and as I am not sure if it is his handwritng or not but Mary's last name is not spelled Walford but Woolford , Has anyone seen that?

20 June 1827: Location of birth (Olive Twp, Morgan Co, OH), her middle name, the names of her parents and siblings, and the name of her first husband was obtained recently online on www.rootsweb.com. The source given was WFT V. 9, Tree 0810. Isaac Mohler was given as her second husband, but the marriage date given was the same for both Benton Hale and Isaac Mohler. For more information on Isaac Mohler, his descendants and their spouses, see the MEIGS COUNTY OHIO HISTORY BOOK, published by the Meigs County Pioneer and Historical Society, Inc. in 1979.

4 April 1868: Benton married Catherine A. (Landacker) Mohler, a resident of Meigs County this date as found in the MEIGS COUNTY OHIO MARRIAGE BOOK, p. 90. She was widowed, almost 41, Benton was 21. Catherine did not have children by Benton, but had four by her previous marriage to Isaac Mohler, namely Mary E. Hale Mohler 17, who married Benton's brother Nathan on 23 April, 1868; John Casper Mohler 13; Isaac Arthello Mohler 12; and Dora Georgette Mohler 4. Benton and Catherine were married for almost 26 years until she died.

29 Sep 1894: Date of Catherine's death from Benton Carl's government disability papers and his wife's widow's pension papers.
