15 April 2008: this is the only John Krater that I have that is of the proper age to be in the Civil War (well, I do have a John Krater born in 1808, making him 56 years old in 1861). However, there are records of THREE John Kraters who served in the Civil War, and I do not have enough information at this time to be able to determine which fits here.
