they raised their family on the north side DeWald---it is now torn down for parking in front of Saint Peter's. It was a THIN block ---where most blocks would have an alley, Saint Martin was the next street north & only houses on the north side ---they looked at the garages of the DeWald people.. ______________ Holy Thursday 2004-April 8 Jim Klingenberger and I toured the Catholic Cemetery. Our fathers are buried with their parents at Sec C-Lot 354 (lane 16) This would be on the south edge of the strip of grass. Walk north through our 12 plots to the edge of the grass (lane 15) and turn to face south. John X Jr. wife Mary Eising's sister is Margaret Eising Kinder. Their family plot is on the right and ALSO to the left is John X. Jr. brother Justin C. Klingenberger and family ( Sec C-lot 279 ) (1903 the 12 graves cost $25.00)

Article in the Fort Wayne (Daily) News Thursday June 15, 1916 Marriage Licenses John X Klingenberger, 50, foreman; Elizabeth A Schick, 47. Article in the Fort Wayne News and Sentinel Thursday Aug 28, 1919 Klingenberger John X Klingenberger aged 52 years, a foreman in the cotch department of the Pennsylvania shops here died at 9 o'clock this morning at his home 441 East DeWalt street from complications. He had been in poor health for two years and had just returned from a vacation spent at Rome City. Mr Klingenberger was born in this city May 6 1867 and lived here all his life. He was educated in the St Peter's parochial schools and was a member of St Peter's Catholic church and various societies of the parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council No 451 of this city. He is survived by the widow Mrs Elizabeth (Schick) Klingenberger and five children from a former marriage - John, Julian, Norbert, Mathilda and Rozella Klingenberger of this city and one step son Earl Schick now with the expeditionary forces in France. There also survive the parents, Mr and Mrs John Klingenberger of this city and two brothers Julian and Xavier who are employed by the Pennsylvania company and a si! ster, Mrs Joseph Steib of this city.
