1863 June 30 Left from Liverpool on steamship "Great Eastern" to United States

1863 July 12 Arrived in New York and went to work for Wallace and Sons at age 22, In Connecticut

1863 married Annie Potts and daughter Mary Ann born sometime soon after in Seymore, Connecticut

1864 July 12 Went back to Liverpool on the ship "Hede"

1864 returned in Spetember on the ship "City of London" to New York

1864 in November returned to Liverpool on the ship "Edenburgh"

1865 returned to New York on the ship "Virginia"

1866 son Frederick born and died in 1867. Buried Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia, CT

1868 went to Liverpool in November on the ship "Palmyra" sometime around this time son Alfred Henry born who died in infancy and is buried Pine Grove Cemetery at Ansonia
