Person:John Kassing (1)

The John Kassing and wife Mary (Sekman) and family of Prussia, W. Germa ny came to New York about 1848 to 1855. ( two different years have be en found in different write-ups). They moved to near Fostoria Seneca, O H, with their family of five. Son Wm farmed near there. (see not es on him). Henry Peter Kassing moved to Burliington, IA (see notes on h im). Another son John F. Kassing stayed in Seneca CO OH. He married Sar ah Jane Cook to who 8 children were borned. John is buried in a Kassi ng Cememtary on the Kassing farm across the road from Zion Lutheran Chur ch & Cemetery. The Church no longer exists. (this infromation is from Is talena Rhoad who is a great-granddauther of Wm Kassing mention abov e, still living in Fostoria OH in 1994.) So far nothing is found of t he two sisters.
