John Jordan's origins are unknown. His first sighting is on 18th February 1724, when he married Ann Swallow at Kimpton in Hertfordshire. They had three children baptised at Kimpton between 1724 and 1729, although the first two died within a couple of months of each other in autumn 1728. John has yet to be traced after 1729.
