Obituary for John J. Jackson in the Freson Bee Tuesday October 15,1963

JOHN J. JACKSON: Sanger--Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the First Christian Church for John Jefferson Jackson, 73, who died Sunday of an apparent heart attack as he was backing his car out of the garage at his home at 19535 East Trimmer Springs Road to attend church. The car kept rolling until it went into a shallow gulley and stopped.

He was born in Texas and had lived in the Sanger area 71 years. He was agate tender for the Fresno Irrigation Canal.

He is survived by his widow, Tressie; his daughters, Mrs. Rowena Malcolm of San Francisco and Mrs. Delpha Wilson of Sanger; a sister Mrs. Margaret Curtis of Clovis and four grandchildren. Burial will be in the Sanger Cemetery under the direction of the Creager Chapel.
