Living in Torlevan, Sithney in 1841 as an Agricultural Labourer. For the 1851 census John was farming 20 acres at Worvas, Mullion in Cornwall with wife and children William, Thomas, Elizabeth, Joshua and Joseph. In 1871 John was living alone in Breage, a farmer of 9 acres. Death Reg Dec Qtr 1879 Helston Reg District 5c 132 aged 84. According to Warren Jacka this John heads the Jacka Fabrics Mob in Australia. Said to have headed the "Bendigo mob".

  13. John's two eldest children Eliza and William have moved out of home to work. Eliza has gone to live with her Aunt and Uncle (the Watters' family) on a nearby farm and William is working as a servant for another Aunt and Uncle, James and Mary Jacka (nee Lobb). Although the children are living with different families they are only just down the road, not very far away.

    Remaining in the family home are:-

  14. The family have relocated, and William has moved back into the family home. Thier eldest daughter Eliza still remains with her aunt and uncle working as a servant. Mary is no longer in the family home, although I have not been able to located where she is in 1851

  15. The household has grown smaller as the older children have left home.
    *Eliza, the eldest child, has moved closer and is working for the Sheppard family as a housekeeper and remains unmarried.
    *William has migrated to Australia and married Emily Woolcock.
    *Thomas now lives with his Aunt and Uncle in Trenance, Mullion in the Jose household.
    *the other two children who are not at home Mary and John have not yet been located.
