The Vessel that was cast away at Duxbury, in a violent Storm as lately mention'd in the Papers, was a Sloop from Stonington in Connecticut, bound for this Port, and sail'd from thence the 24th of last Month with a valuable Cargo, particularly 3000 Wt. of Cheese, all made and shipp'd by Mr. John Irish, of Stonington, and the Friday after the sail'd was _ove to Pieces among the Rocks; the Vessel, Cargo, and every Soul on Board perish'd; viz: Thomas Griffin, Master, Jonathan Babcock, James Miner, John Irish, and two others, whose Names we have not yet learn't.
