"John Huntington, born in Norwich, March 15, 1666; … In 1691, December 21, he was appointed constable in Norwich. He died between 1695 and 1703, for in the record of General Assembly held at New Haven, October, 1703, is found the following: 'This court doth remit to the widow Abigail Huntington what is due from her estate to the Colonie by the seizure of the inspector of Norwich, provided what estate is left out of the list be now added.'"
