The 1920 Census of Noble Township, Wabash County, Indiana: J. Lawrence Hipskind (33) and Helen Hipskind (28) lived on 41 South Spring Street in Wabash, Indiana. Living in the same house was Albert C & Florence Mergy, both 50 years of age. Mr. Mergy was a barber. J. Lawrence was a steam fitter with a heating company. The 1930 Census of Wabash Indiana shows a J. Lawrence Hipskind, living in Noble Township, County of Wabash, age 44. Living with him was his wife, Helen G. Hipskind, age 38 and daughter M???Ann age 5. John was a salemans for a heating company (probably Hipskind). It shows he was 31 at the time he married and Helen was 25. They rented their home for $25 per month and owned a radio set.
