Early Land Acquisition in Virginia
Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants:
- I-159: Betty Hill of Culpeper County set forth here are 116 acres on Webb's Beaver Dams in North Farnham Parish in Richmond County part of a Tract granted Miles Hugall. By Conveyances it became Property of John Partfidge who devised to John Hill without saying to Hill for Ever or to his Heirs by which omission Hill possessed during his Life only. Since his decease Land Escheats. Land advertised at Richmond County Court House by Certificate by leroy Peachey, Clerk of said County. Escheat Grant to Betty Hill. Resurv. Griffin Garland. Adj.
