Militia, as a Private, 7th Class on April 17, 1778; also in Captain Comfort's Company in 1782; his name appears on the 1783 Hellam Twp. tax list, as having a family of five members, leading to the conclusion that one of his children was deceased by that date; m. Veronica Heydt (sometimes called "Euphronica" or "Fanny") (b. 1757; d. 1816 at Botetourt Co., VA).
