- Confirmed in 1770, age 15, Christ Lutheran Church, York, Pennsylvania. Last known in York Co., 5 Sept 1784 when he filed administration account for his brother, Christopher. He must have left Hellam area around 1784 or 85.
- Tax Records, York Co, Pennsylvania, Hellam township: 1782, 1783 - 100 acres, 5 females 1788 - 100 acres [could be error, should be Stoffel {Christopher}] 1784 - "A" Jacob Heibel was in Manheim township, Blacksmith.

March 1816 at Botetourt Co., VA; his name appears on the Jan. 1781 roster of Pennsylvania Militia from Hellam Twp. in York Co. as a Private, 3rd Class; also on the roster of the 4th Company, 2nd Battalion, York Co. Militia, as a Private, 7th Class on April 17, 1778; also in Captain Comfort's Company in 1782; his name appears on the 1783 Hellam Twp. tax list, as having a family of five members, leading to the conclusion that one of his children was deceased by that date; m. Veronica Heydt (sometimes called "Euphronica" or "Fanny") (b. 1757; d. 1816 at Botetourt Co., VA).
