19 Nov 1816: Petition of Mary Heald that "It being inconvenient to me to administer on the estate of John Heald late of Carlisle deceased ... and request that John Heald may be appointed to that trust." Granted. 19 Nov 1816: Memorial of John Heald of Carlisle gentleman, that "John Heald late of said Carlisle gentleman, deceased within thirty days last past died intestate ... The widow has renounced her claim to administer & the petitioner is oldest son of the deceased." Bond same date. 11 Feb 1817: Inventory exhibited and sworn to. 21 Feb 1817: Mary Heald widow petitions, personal estate being insufficient to pay debts, for her apparel and such, by atty John Keyes. Allowed $300. 3 Jun 1817: First accounting allowed. 9 Jul 1817: Sale of real estate authorized. 5 Sep 1818: Distribution of dower to Mary Heald the said deceased's widdow 9 Sep 1818: Second accounting allowed. 9 Sep 1818: "Thomas Heald having been first appointed guardian to Paul, Benjamin H. and Sarah Heald, the minor heirs [Note: these 3 minors are children of son Paul, deceased], and all parties interested in real estate having been duly notified, and Nath'l Hutchinson jun'r having been first appointed agent for Trustham/Grafham[??] Haywood for Anna Haywood his wife who is out of this Commonwealth", the dower is assigned to Mary Heald to hold to her as tenant in Dower. 18 Sep 1818: Third account assented to by Joseph Heald, Aaron Robbins, Lydia Heald, Thomas Heald, Nath'l Hutchinson 16 Nov 1818: Real estate split between John Heald and Joseph Heald. Anna Haywood Daughter of said deceased $127.08 to be paid by John Heald; Esther Robbins Daughter of said deceased $127.08 to be paid by Joseph Heald; heirs of Paul Heald deceased a son of the said John Heald deceased $127.08 to be paid by John Heald; award to Lydia Heald a Daughter of the said John Heald deceased $127.08: $94.33 to be paid by Joseph Heald and $32.75 to be paid by John Heald.
