John B Hamilton was born 21 Nov 1809 in Sussex County, New Jersey, the oldest child of Francis Price Hamilton and Ann Sharp. In his will, he provided $500 to erect a monument to his memory in the Hamburg Baptist Church Burying Ground[1]. The memorial is impressive and is dedicated to both his parents and grandparents, James and Sarah Price Hamilton and others. His will was presented for probate on 29th day of May 1888. He leaves his estate to his two sisters, Grace S Campbell and Mary Burt and to their children. He was also one of the executor's of his father's will.
