Warrant for Parson's Neck on Isle of Kent or any part of Annarundell or Kent Co. Thomas Cole demanded 200 a. for transporting self and his wife Priscilla last year. Warrant for Parson's Neck on Isle of Kent or Annarundell Co. Mr. James Cox demanded 300 a. for transporting self and two others last year: James Hames, Francis Tappes. Was called afore the Board John Hall & charged for not Executing his Office of Cunstable, wherto hee was sworne: but in contempt of the Govermt, released Thomas Thurston, then a Prisoner, & committed to his Charge to secure. It is ordered, bee fyned One Thowsand pownds of Tob to the Ld Propr for his sd contempt. The Governor doth remitt one halfe of the Sd ffyne of One Thowsand pownds of Tob.

To the honoble the Gouernor and Councell of Maryland.
The humble peticon of Tho. Billingsley Sheweth That yor petr bought and is seated upon one hundred and fifty acres of land lying upon the Cliffes in Calvert County which formerly belonged to John James and Wm Toulson of Anne Arrundell County who hath recd good Consideracon Therefore yor petr humbly craves yor Honors to Comand the said John James and Wm Toulson that justly they warrt the said land and give reasonable Assurance thereof And he shall pray &c. John Barwell sworne in open Cort sayth That the land now Thomas Billingsley lives upon is that land for which John Hall was first entreaty with John James and Wm Toulson and further Sayth not Francis Chalke sworne in open Cort sayth That he was prsent when John Hall called John Barwell and bid him take notice that he had bought the uppermost parte of the land, belonging to John James and William Toulson which said land lyes next to the land unto this depont Chalke and further sayth not The plt sueth p[ro]ut in peticon aforesd The defts not appeareing the plt desires that his subpenaed wittnesses may be examined in open Cort which was granted and are aboue written ...
