Green, retired secretary of the West Fifth St. YMCA and a former Daily News employe who died Sunday.Mr. Green was 86 years old.Until retiring from The Daily News two years ago, he worked daily visiting subscribers' homes to conduct readership surveys.A World War I veteran, Mr. Green was executive secretary of the West Fifth St. YMCA for more than 20 years until his retirement in 1916.IN HIS years here, Mr. Green brought many men to Dayton in YMCA posts who later became prominent in business and civic life.He was a member of Wayman AME church, and Ancion Square 40 of the M a s o n t c Lodge.Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Julia B. Green, of 477 S. Kilmer St., and one sister, P. G. Green, of New York City.Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today from Loritts Funeral home, 3924 W. Third St. Cremation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
