Here Lyes Buried ye Body of MR JOHN GREEN, Who Departed this Life Novmbr 28 1747 in ye [??]th Year of his Age. [Note: last line partially buried, numbers not discernible. Note: memorial page has text indicating he is "Husband of Isabel Wyman.Son of William Green and Elizabeth Wheeler". The wills of the two John Greens make it clear that was not this John Green (Isabel's husband d. 1736), with the result that the relationships indicated on the memorial page are incorrect.]

11 Apr 1748: Bond of John Green Husbandman as administr[ator] of his Father John Green late of s'd Malden Dece'd Intestate. [note: apparently filled out for widow and changed, so some corrections and strike-outs.] 9 May 1748: Inventory of Mr John Green late of Malden Dec'd: person: £347-09-0, real: £2570, by Thomas Waite Jun'r, Phinehas Sargent, Samuel Wait. 23 May 1749: Appraisal of real estate and set off to Mrs Mary Green s'd Deceaseds widow one full third. Remaining two thirds to John Green only son. Counter-signed by Mary Green, John Green, Joses Bucknam guardian for Mary Green. 29 May 1749: Judge's decree settles two thirds on John Green only son of John Green late of Malden, he paying his sister Mary Sweetser and heirs of brother Jacob deceased.
