"Galpin, John, s. of Philip. Lived in Rye, and m. Mary Morgan, dau. of John. On 9 Aug. 1704, he gave to wife Mary land formerly purchased by John Morgan, 'my wife's father', with remainder to daus. Mary and Ruth. On 6 Jan. 1703/4, he conveyed, as John, Sr., with wife Mary to dau. Susanna wife of James Murray. He d. abt. 1706. The deeds prove that the wives of Freegrace Adams and Jonathan Booth were also his daus."
