- Galloway, John - entered service 1775 in Virginia; received Pension abt. age 69 in Garrard County, Kentucky 1818; died 5/29/1831 in Anderson or Washington County, Kentucky; married 1792 Dorcas/Darcas, Washington County, Kentucky; married (2) 11/10/1793 to Elizabeth Hendrickson there; widow received Pension 1851 in Anderson County, Kentucky & died same year; soldier had 11 daughters & 5 sons (William, John, Thomas, & twin sons all died before marriage); daughter Elizabeth married John Robins, Washington County, Kentucky, moved away, & not hears from for over 20 years 1851; daughter Anna married Joseph Harbord in Kentucky , they borh lived 1851 in McLean Conty, Illinois; daughter Mary died before marriage; daughter Lydiann (eldest child by 2nd wife) born 1794 in Washington County, Kentucky, married (1) Jeremiah Finch (died 6/7/1831), married (2) Yelvington Atkins/Adkins, they borh lived 1851 in Anderson County, Kentucky; daughter Phebe died before marriage; daughter Margaret/Peggy married 6/7/1820 Joseph Gaar/Garr, they both lived 1851 in McLean County, Illinois; daughter Nancy I/J married 3/6/1825 to Samuel T. Sawyer, & they borh lived 1851 in Louisville, Kentucky; daughter Sarah died before marriage; daughter Keziah/Cheziah married 12/11/1824 to Preston McBrayer, they both dec'd in 1851, survived by children John D, Hugh J & Ann; daughter Malinda/Melinda (youngest daughter by 2nd wife), born 6/15/1807, married David Layton, they both lived 1851 in Anderson County, Kentucky; daughter Susan died before marriage; Jane G.
