    [Note: the age at death gives a birth of 1731, but this is inconsistent with the probate calling his the eldest son, so born before 1728 when Samuel was born. Additionally, his marriage in 1745 suggests a birth by 1724 to be of legal age. However, the estate of his father in 1778 goes to the heirs of John Francis, so he certainly died by then, which makes this seem likely to belong to him.]

  2.   The lack of marriage or death records for most of his children in Medford make it pretty clear they moved away -- possibly to Windham Connecticut with their brother Manning Francis
