Funeral services held at the Mitchell Funeral Home on Friday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Chester Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery

Obituaries: Believe funeral was 9/22/78 "John E. Fennell, 86, Arcadia, died Tuesday evening at the Tipton County Memorial Hospital following an illness of four years. Born near Phlox, In., July 5, 1892, he was the son of George and Laura Turner Fennell. He married Lula Bogue in 1912 who preceded him in death in 1925. He then married Lavina Voland in 1932 who preceded him in death in 1972. He was retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass after 20 years of service and was a member of the Meridian Christian Church in Greentown. He was also a farmer. He is survived by: Three sons, George of Arcadia, Lavon of Greentown, and Lary of Lakeland, Fla.; eight daughters, Berniece Gray of Decatur, Anna Ruth Jarvis of South Bend, Della Buckley of Sharpsville, Laura Gray of Elwood, Carol Hight of Peru, Olga Thurston and Mary Hammond both of Kokomo and Freda of Mishawaka; three stepsons, Quendal Voland and Buddy Voland both of Texas and James Voland of Gas City; two brothers, Ross Fennell of Kokomo, and Delbert Fennell of Windfall; three sisters, Elizabeth Bogue of Windfall, Virgie Pendley of Kokomo and Orpha Warner of Greentown; and 39 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Mitchel Funeral home on Friday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Chester Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 P.M. Thursday"
