[This source has a lengthy discussion of the Townsend Bishop farm, including a discussion of how it was awarded to John Endicott, Jr., over his brother Zerubabel, in a somewhat controversial ruling on the non-allowed will of their father, Gov. John Endicott. This, in turn, led to it becoming property of his widow and eventually her subsequent husband Rev. James Allen.]
