[undated clipping] Died at Altmar, Friday, October 4th, 1918. John Ehrsman, aged 32 years. Mr. Ehrsman was born in the town of Orwell, his parents were Daniel and Sara Colvin Ehrsman. He had always lived in this vicinity. Having lost his parents when quite young, he made his home with his grandfather, the late John Colvin of Ricard, until his marriage to Miss Jessie Gay, who with three young children survive. Mrs. Ehrsman is critically ill at the present time. Mr. Ehrsman's home was the Blakeman farm, he having been employed by Eben Blakeman for a number of years. Mr. Ehrsman was taken ill with pneumonia about one week ago. A short prayer was held at his late home Monday at 2 p.m., and just as the funeral procession was passing from the yard Mrs. Ehrsman passed away. A brief service for Mr. Ehrsman was held at the grave. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.

Oswego Daily Palladium, 8 Oct 1918: ALBION Altmar, Oct 8-- John Ehrsman died here on Friday, October 4th, 1918, aged 32 years. Mr. Ehrsman was born in the town of Orwell and his entire life had been spent in this vicinity. He had been ill but a week with pneumonia. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Jessie Gay, and three children. Funeral services were held at his home on the Blakeman farm Monday afternoon, the Rev. F.B. Clark officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
