       Was Bishop of the West Jordan Ward; West Jordan Stake; Utah,  from 1892 to 1921.    Was born March 28, 1842 in Hancock Co., Ill.; son of Samuel and Margaret M. Beckstead Egbert.   He was Baptized April 20, 1851,  Ordained a seventy, June 15, 1884, by William W. Taylor and Ordained a High Priest and Bishop on June 1, 1891, by Lorenzo Snow.
