Shelby County, KY Deeds: This Indenture made & entered into this 15th day of May 1818 between John Eakin & Susanna his wife of the County of Shelby & State of Kentucky of the one part and Robt. Eakins of the County & State aforesd. of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of $400 in hand pd. by the sd. Robert Eakin the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged to the sd. John Eakins & Susanna his wife they have bargained * sold & by these presents down grant, bargain sell & Deliver unto the sd. Ro. Eakins his heirs &c. forever all the right title interest & claim the sd. John Eakins has in & to a Tract of 560 acres of Landon Floyd's fork in the sd. County of Shelby that was patented to Robert Eakin dec'd father to the sd. John Eakin who claims sd. land or his interest in sd. Tract as one of the legal representatives of the sd. Ro. Eakins dec'd to have & to hold the sd. bargained & dold tract of land with its appurtenances unto the said Robert Eakin his heirs &c. forever to their proper use & behoof & the sd. John Eakin & Susanna his wife dotn covenant with the sd. Robt. Eakin the sd. Tract of land against the claim of themselves & their heirs & all other persons whatsoever will forever warrant & defend.
In witness whereof the sd. Jno Eakins & Susanna his wife have hereto set their hands & seals the date above written.
