John Dyer was born at Weymouth, 10 July, 1643; died Boston, 2 June, 1696. He married (1), near 1670, Mary Bicknell, daughter of John and Mary (Shaw) Bicknell, who died in 1677-78. She was born at Weymouth near 1655. He married (2) Elizabeth ----, the mother of his five younger children, all born in Boston. He was a "cloth-worker" by trade.
