John McClelland, Katherine's father, was a captain of the militia of Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Frederick Barricklow served 7 years in the militia and was released November 19, 1831. His papers were signed by Captain John McClelland. (The release papers are in the possession of David T. Barricklow). 

  John and Katherine Dugan had 6 daughters and 4 sons. All were born in Fayette Co., Pennsylvania. Margaret born 1808 died 1875, married Samuel (Smiley) Porter and had 8 children: Susie married Stoops, Mary married Meyers.

Another married Mr. Spratt and had a daughter Elizabeth, born 1829 died 1871. 

   Second wife of Adam Dunlap, 1805 died 1883. Three of their four sons went to Missouri in the early 1940's, namely, Robert, Cyrus, Huram. William remained in Ohio.
